Allergan manufactured Juvederm Ultra 3 has the benefit of 0.3% lidocaine making it a more comfortable treatment. This product is even more versatile than Juvederm Ultra 2, for it is thicker and a highly cross-linked formulation. Juvederm Ultra 3 effects and instant and the Hyaluronic acid is gradually absorbed by the body leaving no residue.

Juvederm Ultra 3 is an effective treatment for injection into the mid to deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles, folds and restoring the original volume to lips.

Because Juvederm is a non-animal based Hyaluronic acid side effects are usually mild to moderate. Temporary injection site reactions like redness, pain, firmness, swelling and bumps. Exposure to extreme heat or cold should be avoided for 2 weeks following treatment. Prior to treatment aspirin, ibuprofen and blood thinner use should be avoided to prevent bleeding.
